Terms of Service

Overview

StyleSavvy operates an online booking platform that lets Clients discover and book appointments with independent service businesses — salons, barbershops, spas, personal trainers, and similar Owners — through a branded booking page.

These Terms apply differently depending on who you are:

  • Part A applies if you're a Client booking an appointment through a StyleSavvy booking page.
  • Part B applies if you're an Owner running your business on StyleSavvy.
  • Both parts sit under the shared definitions and general terms below.

We may update these Terms from time to time by posting the revised version here. Material changes will be communicated with reasonable notice. Your use of the platform is also subject to our Privacy Policy.

Definitions

  • "StyleSavvy Platform" means stylesavvybooking.com and any associated apps or booking widgets.
  • "Owner" means a business (salon, barbershop, spa, trainer, or similar) that has created a StyleSavvy account to manage bookings, staff, and services.
  • "Client" means a person booking an appointment with an Owner through the StyleSavvy Platform.
  • "Owner Services" means any service offered for booking by an Owner through the StyleSavvy Platform (e.g. a haircut, massage, or training session).
  • "Terms of Sale" means the date, time, price, deposit policy, cancellation policy, and no-show policy set by the Owner and shown to the Client at the time of booking.
  • "Booking Assistant" means StyleSavvy's AI-powered WhatsApp booking assistant.

Part A: Terms for Clients

A1. Our role

StyleSavvy is a booking platform, not the service provider. We connect Clients with independent Owners and arrange the booking. The contract for the actual service — the haircut, massage, training session, or other Owner Service — is directly between you and the Owner. StyleSavvy is not a party to that contract, and is not liable for the quality, safety, or outcome of any Owner Service.

We may collect deposits or payments on your behalf and pass them to the Owner, but this does not make us a party to the underlying service agreement.

A2. Making a booking

  • Bookings are subject to the Owner's Terms of Sale, shown to you before you confirm. Check all details — date, time, price, deposit amount, and cancellation policy — before booking.
  • To reschedule or cancel, use your booking confirmation link or contact the Owner directly. StyleSavvy does not set or override an individual Owner's cancellation or no-show policy.
  • Deposits, where required, protect the Owner's time against no-shows. Refund of a deposit for a cancelled or rescheduled booking follows the Owner's stated policy, not a platform-wide StyleSavvy policy, unless required otherwise by law.

A3. The Booking Assistant

If you book or communicate through our WhatsApp Booking Assistant, your messages are processed by an AI system (built on Anthropic's Claude) to interpret your request and complete the booking. See our Privacy Policy for how this data is handled. You can always request to speak with the Owner directly instead of the assistant.

A4. Your account and conduct

  • Keep your login details (where an account is created) secure.
  • Don't use the StyleSavvy Platform or Booking Assistant for unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent purposes.
  • We may deactivate a Client account that breaches these Terms.

A5. Complaints

If something goes wrong with a booking, contact the Owner first — they're responsible for the service delivered. If you're unable to resolve it directly, contact us at support@stylesavvybooking.com and we'll help facilitate a resolution, though StyleSavvy is not liable for the underlying service.

Part B: Terms for Owners

B1. Your relationship with StyleSavvy

StyleSavvy grants you access to the StyleSavvy Platform to manage bookings, staff, services, and payments for your business. You remain solely responsible for the Owner Services you deliver, their quality, and compliance with any laws or licensing requirements that apply to your business (e.g. health and safety, local business licensing).

B2. Your account

  • Provide accurate business information at signup.
  • Passwords must meet our minimum requirements: at least 8 characters, including at least one number.
  • You're responsible for all activity under your account. Tell us immediately if you suspect it's been compromised.
  • We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, or are used for fraudulent or illegal activity.

B3. Subscription plans and free trial

  • New Owner accounts include a 30-day free trial (Essentials through Exclusive tiers), no card required. Enterprise plans do not include a trial and require a consultation.
  • After the trial, continued use requires an active paid subscription at the applicable tier — see current pricing at stylesavvybooking.com.
  • Prices are shown in USD and may vary by region. We may change pricing with reasonable advance notice.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

B4. Your Terms of Sale

You set your own deposit policy, cancellation policy, and no-show policy for each Owner Service. These are shown to Clients at booking and form part of your direct contract with them. StyleSavvy is not responsible for enforcing or arbitrating disputes over your Terms of Sale, beyond facilitating deposit collection through Paystack.

B5. Payments

  • Payments and deposits are processed through Paystack, a third-party payment provider. StyleSavvy does not store full payment card details.
  • Deposits collected from Clients belong to your business relationship with the Client — StyleSavvy facilitates collection but is not a party to refund disputes.

B6. Booking Assistant and Client data

Where you use the AI Booking Assistant, Client messages are processed by Anthropic's Claude on your behalf, via StyleSavvy, to interpret bookings. You're responsible for making sure your own communications with Clients, and any custom messaging you configure, comply with applicable consumer protection and data protection law in your market.

B7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the StyleSavvy Platform for any unlawful purpose
  • Attempt to access another Owner's account or Client data without authorization
  • Interfere with or disrupt the platform's operation
  • Misrepresent your business or the Owner Services you offer

B8. Service availability

We aim to keep StyleSavvy reliable, but don't guarantee uninterrupted access. Some features (e.g. WhatsApp confirmations) depend on third-party providers and may be temporarily unavailable outside our control.

B9. Termination

Either party may stop using StyleSavvy at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or suspected fraud, with notice where reasonably possible.

General terms (Parts A & B)

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, StyleSavvy is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform, including lost revenue from missed bookings, no-shows, or third-party service outages, and is not liable for the acts or omissions of Owners in delivering Owner Services. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Abuja, Nigeria, to settle any dispute arising out of these Terms.
